Your Questions, Our Answers
Valleyview assisted living facilities specialize in residents with mental health and chemical dependency/alcoholism diagnoses. Each community differs on their offerings to engage the residents and focus on an improved lifestyle.
Valleyview of Jordan features a weekly visit by a psychotherapist and bi-monthly visits by a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Jordan also hosts a weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, on site.
Valleyview of Northfield features monthly visits by a licensed psychiatrist.
Do you handle sliding scale insulin?
Northfield offers nursing assistance for sliding scale insulin, Jordan does not.
Do you have transportation for recreational or social events?
Transportation is available for weekly shopping trips, Valleyview’s planned activities and scheduled medical appointments. Cedar House ARMHS workers can assist further for shopping trips and transportation to the bus terminal.
Do you take pets?
Both communities allow pets, but there are conditions. Please communicate with our staff to determine if this is an option.
Can residents smoke at your facility?
We have both indoor and outdoor smoking available in both communities.
Do you provide special diets?
Neither community provides a special menu. Let us work with your patient's doctor as we can typically work out an alternative.
Do you provide care for dementia patients?
We are capable of assisting residents with early-stage cognitive issues. We cannot assist if there is a risk of an elopement as we do not have a locked unit. Schedule an assessment and we can work with you to try and help your patient client.
