Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor
Valleyview Assisted living is searching for an RN registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota with a valid driver’s license. This role is an important position within our community, overseeing our team of Health Aids and ensuring our resident's health and happiness.
The RN role consistes of 40 hours/week Monday – Friday and on-call every other weekend.

Job Summary: The role of the RN is to ensure that the health and safety of all residents are met through working with the residents and staff. The RN will ensure that HHA’s are hired, or trained, to state required competencies standards. The RN will also ensure that the facility is in compliance with state regulations and standards. Must be able to relate professionally with residents, staff and family members, display a positive work attitude and be able to work as a team with other staff members.
Work with LPN to ensure that Valleyview of Jordan, LLC can meet the client’s needs according to the initial assessment.
Ensures residents maintain admission criteria, reassess and recommend alternative placement if necessary.
Implements service agreements with all new residents. Reviews and revises service plans as needed at a minimum of once per year.
Ensures residents have up to date care plans.
Monitors resident charts and clinical progress notes.
Works with the LPN to communicate to physicians and other personnel (county case workers, etc) any changes in the resident’s needs or conditions * Works with the LPN to facilitate coordination of resident services with other service providers.
Works with the LPN on ordering medications and all medication renewals as well as any necessary follow-up with physicians regarding medications and/or medical conditions.
Works with the LPN to ensure all physician orders are signed and implemented with-in 24 hours
Ensures that medication administration procedures are followed properly and discusses any needed corrections, errors, etc., with staff.
Communicates in resident’s log any information that staff need to be aware of.
Works with the LPN in the documentation of the disposal of medication per procedure each week.
Performs supervisory visits 14 days after admission and at least every 62 days thereafter.
Works as a team player with all members of the residents care team.
Works with Administrator in providing training to all new employees as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. A minimum of 12 hours of in-services must be held per year.
Supervises medication practices and medical equipment being used in the building.
Ensures that staff clearly understands and follow all resident care procedures.
Monitors staff for accuracy of monthly resident blood pressures, weight and pulse as requested.
Shares resident and family concerns with pertinent staff if appropriate.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures and implementation of them.
Attends staff meeting.
Works with Administrator to ensure emergency procedures are in place.
